Three Summer Wedding Trends We Say I do To

September 3rd 2017

It’s been a sizzling summer for those of us in London, and although it’s wrapping up, we’re happy to say that summer wedding season is still in full swing. Here are a few of the trends we’ve seen and loved.

Separates are here to stay

Yes, it’s all about ‘the dress’. Except when it’s not (some brides want another option for the post-reception partying, for example). Separates are sexy, sophisticated and so pretty for summer. We love this Monique Lhullier top, and there’s always this, for the ultimate rock n’ roll bride.

Ethereal rules

Other-worldly is the new rustic chic. Just look at these Vogue pics from model Hanne Gaby Odiele’s free-spirited outdoor wedding in upstate New York. The bride wore a silk cape, and the ceremony took place in fields of tall grass under a tepee crafted from branches. Even without a unicorn, it’s just about as magical as you can get.

Para 1

Go bold or go home

Maybe it’s the fresh summer air, but bright, bold colours have been everywhere this summer. Done right, going bold means using one or two key colours with a more muted accent colour, and not going overboard. Like opting for a single-colour bouquet or centrepiece to make a big statement.  Think 'Classic Boulevard.'
